Ingredients
Scale
ingredients :
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1 lb smoked beef sausage, sliced (andouille or kielbasa style)
- 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
- 1 cup shredded smoked cheddar cheese
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 4 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
steps:
- Dice the chicken and slice the sausage. Set aside.
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium. Add the chicken, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5–7 minutes until golden and fully cooked.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook for another 3 minutes until warmed through.
Browned sausage and chicken build a flavorful base - Pour in the dry pasta and chicken broth. Stir to combine and ensure pasta is covered.
- Sprinkle in the ranch seasoning. Bring everything to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is just tender.
- Turn off the heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
Melty cheddar transforms the sauce into creamy goodness - Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Garnish with fresh parsley if using.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- If the sauce thickens too much, stir in a splash of broth or milk when reheating.
- Smoked paprika or a dash of chipotle powder adds extra smoky depth.
- Great for meal prep store in airtight containers and reheat with added liquid to restore creaminess.
